Missions & Ministry
|
Here at First Church, we're proud to be a church that uses our prayers, presence, gifts, and service
to bless others. We are active in Local and International Missions as well as touching the lives of others through our many Ministry Teams and Dora Hansen Charitable Trust. Explore how First Church shows the love of Christ in action! |
Monthly Mission
Each month, the loose coins in the offering plate are designated to benefit a different organization. Past recipients have been the Fox Valley Warming Shelter, Honor Flight, Senegal Missionaries, various United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) initiatives, and more! If you'd like to contribute more than coins to our Monthly Mission, simply write "(Note which month) Monthly Mission" on the exterior of an envelope and place your offering inside.

During the month of September, our Monthly Mission will support Second Chance Garage.
Second Chance Garage is a nonprofit organization that provides reduced rates on car repairs for people who can’t afford large repair bills. They also provide hands-on automotive training and mentorship for teens who need a second chance. By working alongside certified mechanics, teens learn valuable trade skills, teamwork, and confidence - showing them that they do have options and a future worth fighting for. Donate today - and help them turn wrenches into opportunities.
