9:00 Worship in our Sanctuary

Our 9:00 am worship here at First Church is perhaps best described as casual traditional.  This worship service takes place in our sanctuary with music ranging from the old favorites to the newer contemporary hymns along with the great spirituals and gospel favorites. There are several things you can expect to experience every Sunday morning.  One is that there is always time for the children as they bring their "treasures" in the "Treasure Box".  You can also count on there being time for lifting up the prayers of the people as we share our prayer joys and concerns.  Another thing is that there will be music, plenty of music.  One of the things about Methodists is that we are a singing church!  There will also be a time for hearing and reading the scripture along with a time of exploring not only what that scripture is about but also how it relates to us today. You can expect that worship will last for about an hour although there will be some Sundays that it goes a bit longer because we try not to rush worship!  Worship is something to be savored.  We invite you to come and join us!  Come and experience worship at First Church.  We'd love to warmly welcome you to our faith family!
