First Church embraces a traditional style of worship with contemporary elements blended in the liturgy to give it a freshness and vitality that speaks to people of all generations in the 21st century. Worship is the most sacred way that we glorify God. Worship gives us hope, peace, and joy and sends us into the world to serve Christ and His Kingdom. One way to learn is through listening. We greatly value the teaching of Scripture in a practical and relevant way asking the questions - "What did this mean then?" and "What does it mean for us today?"
We gather on Sunday mornings at 9:00 at First United Methodist Church 108 W. Doty Ave Downtown Neenah. We are very relaxed and casual so come as you are. We love kids - so if you have kids please bring them along. For more information on our children's ministries, visit the Youth & Family page. Our services last about an hour, we understand your time is valuable and we will honor that.
During worship we will play a variety of songs ranging from ancient hymns, to modern worship, to the occasional rock or folk song. We worship because we desire to respond to God's mercy and love in a way that glorifies Him!
Each Sunday we also take up an offering. If you are just a visitor to us please don't feel any pressure to give. We give because we deeply desire to live lives of gratitude and sacrifice. This is one way we do this.
Fellowship
10:00am- Coffee Fellowship: Following Worship volunteers prepare and serve coffee and “goodies.” A sign-up sheet is located in the church commons for those willing to host the coffee fellowship.
We also offer a fellowship time during the radius. Worship!
Casual Worship
"radius" is a community of folks in desperate need to know God and make Him known. The dictionary describes radius as being, “a straight line from the center to the circumference.” "radius" offers lively songs and interactive sermons that will hold the interest of young people while also bringing a meaningful message to adults. All ages are welcome.
What to expect
A casual environment with high energy music and fun teaching. The musicians play songs from artists you recognize like Chris Tomlin, Reuben Morgan, and Hillsong. There is no dress code, as you will see many of us dressed in jeans and t-shirts.
First Time Guests
We make it a priority to make sure all our guests feel comfortable and welcomed. Please participate as you feel comfortable and know how glad we are that you came. More information is available at the Welcome Table in the lobby or on this website.
